Would your department like to bring a speaker to campus or host a workshop on campus? PLATO will reimburse a department once per semester up to $5,000.00 for expenses related to bringing a speaker to campus or hosting a workshop on campus under the following criteria:

• Speaker presentation or workshop is open to all UM faculty.
• Reimbursement covers speaker honorarium, speaker travel, speaker meals, catering for event, materials such as printing and PR for event.
• Speaker or workshop must be focused on the following topics: adaptive learning, active learning, best practices for teaching underserved students.

*PLATO will not reimburse honorariums or speaking fees for UM employees.
